Design, cost and implementation benefits of EtherCAT
|
Abstract |
The Ink Tank
Fill machine is designed to rapidly fill
5x 50ml ink tanks in parallel with a
20sec index time. This is quite a
challenging task and involves a large
number of I/O and servo axes and some
interesting sub processes. The
architecture made possible with EtherCAT
allowed a significantly reduction in wiring time, effort & complexity. |
