Abstract |
Using a machine as an example, the
benefits of an EtherCAT-based safety
application versus a standard safety
application will be explained. In
addition the possibilities of safe
communication via safety record FSoE (FailSafe
over EtherCAT) will be illustrated by
this machine. |

Karlheinz Wirsching studied electrical engineering/telecommunications at the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt in the south of Germany. After completing his diploma in 1993 he worked for various companies before he took on a job as a training manager at Baumüller Nürnberg GmbH in 2000. Since 2006 Karlheinz Wirsching works at Baumüller as a product manager. |
