Delta Robot Pick and Place

The Trio MC4N
mini EtherCAT master is suited to a
large range of applications. An example
which shows the power of this motion
controller is the Delta Robot pick and
place system. EtherCAT is used for the
control of 3 servo motors on the robot
and one servo motor running the
conveyor. A digital camera is also
connected to capture the position of
objects placed randomly on the conveyor.
High accuracy is required and full use
of the EtherCAT Touch Probe to capture
the product position is made. EtherCAT
provides a convenient, high performance
and cost effective solution. |

EtherCAT venture at Trio Motion
