ICube Laboratory,

The ICube laboratory brings together researchers of the University of Strasbourg, the CNRS, and the INSA in the fields of engineering and computer science, with imaging as the unifying theme. Its IRIS platform located in the medical campus, in close vicinity of hospital departments, gives access to any research teams, public or industrials, to state-of-the-art hardware, software, workflows, and expertise in the fields of biomedical imaging (MRI, optical imaging, and ultrasounds), biomechanics, robotics, and image processing for their clinical and preclinical projects. IRIS develops and releases open source tools to interface EtherCAT components with the Robotic Operating System (ROS2), to speed up the development of robotic devices able to meet the high standards needed in the field of medical intervention.
