Release of CTT V2.7

The Conformance Test Tool (CTT) V2.7 has been released by TWG Conformance in cooperation with the Technical Advisory Board (TAB). Together with updated test files, new features are included supporting the everyday EtherCAT development efforts:

CTT remote control: “CoE and SoE online tab functions” available
New profile test files and updates
Enhancements and bug fixes in the CTT and test files

Release of CTT V2.4

The Conformance Test Tool (CTT) V2.4 has been released by TWG Conformance in cooperation with the Technical Advisory Board (TAB). This update brings once more a whole lot of new features supporting the everyday EtherCAT development efforts. New features include:

Release of CTT V2.3

March 29, 2022
The Conformance Test Tool (CTT) V2.3 has been released by TWG Conformance in cooperation with the TAB. This update brings a whole lot of new features, some of the highlights being the many new control interfaces and new export of test results. Furthermore, the test coverage has been further extended. ETG.5003.202x & TF-482x: MFC Object Dictionary Specification and Test Files (Release)

The profile specification for the object dictionary and the related test files for ETG.5003.202x Specific Device Profile for Mass Flow Controllers (MFCs) has been released.
This includes a whole set of different types of flow control and sensor devices: ETG.5003.2020 Enhanced MFC, ETG.5003.2021 Standard MFC, ETG.5003.2022 Standard Mass Flow Meter (MFM), ETG.5003.2023 Enhanced MFM, ETG.5003.2025 Generic Pressure Controller (GPC), ETG.5003.2027 Vapor Flow Controller (VFC). The object dictionary specification in version 1.2.0 is available for download here.
The related test files, all in version 1.0.0 are: TF-4820, TF-4821, TF-4822, TF-4823, TF-4825, TF-4827. They are available for download from Conformance Test Version.
The test files TF-482x will be included in the next update of the Conformance Test Tool (CTT).

ETG.5003.20xx & TF-48xx: SDP Specification and Test File (Release)

A whole lot of the ETG.5003 Semi Device Profile specifications series and related CTT Test Files have been updated and released. The formal confirmation of the release was on May 14, 2019.
This release includes the following SDPs: ETG.5003.2000 Abatement Subfab System, ETG.5003.201x RF DC Power Generator, ETG.5003.2040 RF Match, ETG.5003.2050 Roughing Pump, ETG.5003.2070 Turbo Pump, ETG.5003.2080 Vacuum Pressure Gauge.
The related test files, all in version 1.0.0 are: TF-4800, TF-4810, TF-4811, TF-4840, TF-4850, TF-4870, TF-4880.
The specification incl. the CoE object dictionary (OD) definition is available for download here.
ETG.5003 SDP specification versioning has been extended to include the version of the specification as a whole and now also lists the version of the included object dictionary specifically (e.g. 1.1.0 | 1.2.0 (OD).
The Test Files TF-48xx had already been included in the latest CTT Version V2.2.1. Download this version including the Semi Device Profile test files from Conformance Test Version.

Conformance Test Tool (CTT) V2.2.1 Update available

An update to the Conformance Test Tool (CTT) V2.2. has been provided as V2.2.1. It includes a fix to the profile tests (TF-48xx) and for external object dictionary references. The test behavior remains identical with V2.2.0.0. Details are provided in the CTT history and the test file history.

Release of CTT V2.2

The Conformance Test Tool (CTT) V2.2 has been released by TWG Conformance in cooperation with the TAB. This update brings a whole lot of new features, some of the highlights being the Remote Control Interface and CTT plugins to email test projects and verify CRCs. Furthermore, the test coverage has been further extended. An overview in short:

Conformance Test Tool (CTT) V2.1.33.0 available for Review

With many new features ("What’s new") supporting everyday testing efforts and an increased test coverage to further support interoperability, the next update of the Conformance Test Tool (CTT) is no available for ETG review. Some highlight are:

CTT Report Plugin for generation of report emails
CTT CRC Verifier for calculation and verification of CRCs used by FSoE Modules in the ESI file
CTT Remote Control interface to control the CTT via a command line application
Extended verification of ESI object dictionary descriptions

Review lasts until May 9, 2018. Please address any feedback and comments to conformance@ethercat.org.
The review version is available for download from the same page as the official release version.

TF-4401 IO Link Profile Test File (Release)

The TF-4401 IO Link Profile Test File V1.1.0 is based on the MDP-based profile specification ETG.5001.6220 IO Link Master Gateway and is now available at the Conformance Test Version page as release. The test for this device profile describes the fieldbus integration of IO-Link slave devices to EtherCAT. Add it manually to the CTT test set.

TF-1301 EtherCAT P ESI Test available (Review)

The Test File TF-1301 EtherCAT P ESI Test is available. It downloads with CTT 2.1.16 and can only performed with this version. CTT V2.1.16 also includes the official test files already included in CTT V2.1.0. The EtherCAT P ESI test details are under review.

Release of CTT V2.1.0

The CTT version 2.1.0 has been released by TWG Conformance. This update brings new features and some more updates on the CTT software itself, while the test files remain as with V2.0.42.

Conformance Test Tool (CTT) V2.0.45 Review available

Several new features and updates have been added to the Conformance Test Tool (CTT) software itself. This includes the test of multiple FSoE connections and testing with individual cycle times per slave configuration. Comment Resolution has been finalized and the implementation is now for review until December 31, 2016.
The review version is available for download from the same page as the official release version

Release of CTT V2.0

July 11, 2016
The CTT version 2.0 together with a major update of the test files has been released by TWG Conformance. This major update brings many new features, on the CTT software itself as well as on the test coverage. It supports the EtherCAT implementation process by such features as testing in different synchronization modes and PDO configurations in a long-term test. And also by detailed testing to identify flaws in the data structures and ESI file before they may become an issue at customer site. Get a quick overview on what’s new and download the CTT V2.0.

Update Test File Set V2.0.13

With the CTT the current version of the test set is installed. However, test files may be enhanced independent from the CTT version. The latest test set for the Conformance Test Tool is available for download and includes the Config Files, Test Files and Object Dictionary Files listed below. For descriptions of the files please refer to documentation of the Conformance Test Tool.

Review CTT V2.0.40 available

The ETG Technical Working Group Conformance has finalized the review of the Conformance Test Tool V2.0.40. Before the final release the CTT is available for all CTT subscribers now for 6 weeks. This major update includes many new features in the CTT itself as well as an improved test coverage. While the CTT provides valuable support already during the development process and ensures consistency of the EtherCAT device behavior according to the specification, it is also an obligation for all EtherCAT slave device manufacturers to obtain and maintain a valid subscription. All Conformance Test Tool subscribers are informed automatically.

Update TF-1201

Release Date: December 19, 2012
The updated TF-1201 V1.2.0 is now available for download (TF-SET_1i20i5_CTT-V1i20i80.zip). It includes the implementation of the Test Exception TF-1201-121113_1 so that AL Control Register 0x0120 is always written with 2 byte length.
