Closed-loop stepping motor PULSERVO II
PULSERVO II is a stepping motor system eliminating "out-of-step" a weak point of open-loop while with advantage of a stepping motor. PLS2-EC series uses EtherCAT interface and controlled by Motion Control Profile CiA402 Drive Profile as follows: CSP(Cyclic Synchronous Position) Mode / PP(Profile position) Mode / HM(Homing) Mode
It supports EtherCAT time synchronization mode, Free run, SM Event, DC SYNC Event, and is controlled at high speed, cycle time 250μs(min) particularly in DC SYNC Event

Position-detecting encoder confirms the current position, and closed-loop function corrects/controls the position deviation. - High resolution
Using an encoder for detecting position: 20mm square:4,000p/r, 28mm square:16,000p/r, 42,56, 60mm square:10,000p/r or 20,000p/r, the resolution can be set in 6 to 10 levels. - Optimum current
Larger torque than conventional stepping motors can be generated by current optimization for the load. Also, the heat generated by motor/driver is suppressed for energy saving. - High-speed positioning for short strokes
The torque at stopping is the highest, and larger torque can be obtained at starting with a stepping motor. In addition, "Low vibration operation" function is effective for high-speed repetitive positioning of short strokes. - Push operation
Two modes are available: to stop pushing when the set torque is reached(Stop Mode) and to keep pressing at set torque(Non-Stop Mode). In addtion, homing operation can be done by Push operation using Stop Mode. - Safety function: Torque Off
Motor excitation OFF by torque off signal(TQOFF). It prevents unintended operation during maintenance work for safety
