Martin Rostan Executive Director, EtherCAT Technology
Group Martin Rostan studied Aerospace
Engineering in Germany and in the United
Kingdom and received his Diploma Degree in
1992. Subsequently he managed the
international research project that
developed the initial CANopen technology.
From 1996 until 1998 he was marketing
manager and authorized officer at Selectron.
Since 1998 he is with Beckhoff, first as
senior product manager for Ethernet and
fieldbus systems and since 2006 as Head of
Technology Marketing. Martin serves the
fieldbus community in various committees: he
is the Executive Director of the EtherCAT
Technology Group, chairs the CANopen groups
inside CAN in Automation and represents
Beckhoff in ODVA and in several conference
program committees. He also is technical
expert in ISO and IEC standardization
committees for industrial communication.
With publications in magazines, text books,
conferences and symposia he contributes to
the dissemination of fieldbus and Ethernet

Yang Qiu
Engineering Expert, OMRON Electronics
After graduating, Yang Qui worked for many
years in the automobile industry in his
native China. He gained vast experience in
the industry, as an engineer, supervisor and
even manager. He pursued his passion for
engineering by moving to OMRON Electronics
some 15 years ago, the last seven of which
have been in Australia. Showing his immense
versatility, Yang is now the engineering
expert for Queensland, for control, motion,
software, safety systems and especially
visual inspection and networking.

Harry Mulder
Engineering Manager, OMRON Electronics
Harry Mulder has been involved in the industrial control industry for nearly 30 years, the last 25 of which have been with OMRON Electronics. With a degree in computer science, his experience includes sales, engineering and product management of industrial programmable controllers, HMIs, networking and software. He currently manages an engineering team across four states but still likes to get involved with day-to-day problem solving. He is happily married and has three girls who keep him on his toes.

Chris Probst Product Manager, OMRON Electronics
Chris Probst has been involved with the Industrial Automation industry for 22 years. He was a director of an Automation business providing commissioning, sales and engineering but his last 11 years have been with Omron Electronics. Qualified in Electronic Engineering, Computer Systems and Business Management, Chris is now Product Manager for Omron’s Automation Technology. His portfolio includes PLCs, HMIs, Software, Industrial networks, safety and drives. He is married with three children.

Lyndon Fowler

Lyndon Fowler has been in the electrical industry for more than 10 years. It has taken him all round the world, before settling with Omron Electronics New Zealand in 2010. With a degree in Electrical Engineering, he champions the Sysmac Platform of Automation Products. He has been heavily involved with a number of greenfield projects, from concept to commissioning. A specialist in a range of products, Lyndon is comfortable discussing solutions with the local electrician to the engineering manager.

Manjush Kothare has a Post Graduate Diploma
in Business Administration, and a Bachelor’s
Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He started
his career within the automotive industry as
a process engineer and has later undertaken
further significant industry training in
research and analysis, process improvement,
and complex sales support for large scale
business development. His professional
involvement in these areas spans over 14
years. During the past six years he has
managed two major product portfolios for a
large multinational company as Product
Manager for Presence Detection Sensors and
Motion Control. He is actively supporting
the EtherCAT Technology Group, demonstrating
the benefits of this new Industrial Ethernet

Jason Mair
Product and Marketing Manager, SICK
Member of the SICK board of Management for
Australia & New Zealand Jason Mair is the
Product Market Manager responsible for the
Product Management Team, Marketing and
Customer Service. Having commenced his
working life within the manufacturing sector
Jason has gained over 25years experience
across a number of roles from Electrical
Maintenance, Engineering, Sales, Product
Management and Marketing. Jason recognizes
the challenges the modern manufacturing
facilities face in a global market space
having spent 12 years in the automotive
industry focusing on improving productivity
through factory automation. He is a current
member of the SF041 Safety committee
developing the AS4024 safety series of
standards for the Australian and New Zealand
industries. He also supports industry
through providing machine guard safety
training and is an active member of the
National Safety Council of Australia. |
