Engineers of Electrical Engineering develop electric and electronic systems. Their working environment spans research and development, project management, marketing and sales. The education includes mathematics, physics and electronics. In their third year, students choose their area of specialization: Automation: hardware- and software for process automation, Electronics: electronic circuits, power electronics and embedded systems, Communication and information technology: including signal processing and processor technology. The cooperative education at the DHBW combines academic learning with workplace training: students are selected by corporate partners and regularly change between the university and their industrial practice.
