Wearable Robotics

Wearable Robotics, established in 2014 as a spin-off of Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna, focuses on designing, developing, and producing wearable robotic devices for motor rehabilitation and walking assistance. Winner of the "Gaetano Marzotto Prize" in 2013, it commercializes exoskeletons internationally for clinical use. Its activities span three main areas: upper limb rehabilitation with virtual reality integration, walking assistance for disabled individuals, and force amplification for load handling. The robotic exoskeleton for neuromotor rehabilitation of upper limb fraction is their flagship product for post-stroke rehabilitation and received CE certification in 2019 after functional development and clinical testing, marking its commercial launch.
