Abstract

EtherCAT has unique features since it makes use of a unique functional principle: processing on the fly. We will look at this approach and learn why this is a game changer: it turns Ethernet into a field bus while preserving the Internet Technologies.

Joey Stubbs is the North American representative of the ETG. He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of South Carolina, as well as several technical degrees. He has over 25 years of industrial experience in industrial automation. He is also a registered Professional Engineer (PE) and a registered Project Management Professional (PMP).
