Compact Drive Technology

Beckhoff offers a wide range of compact, modular, and scalable drive solutions at I/O level for connecting all common drive technologies such as servo, stepper, BLDC, and DC motors in the low voltage range up to 48 V. The direct integration into the Beckhoff TwinCAT automation software enables convenient and fast programming. In doing so, TwinCAT 3 offers the ideal development environment for the fast and efficient implementation of drive technology requirements with comprehensive and powerful tools such as the Motion Designer, Drive Manager 2, or Scope.

Further special features are:

In addition, Beckhoff also offers an extensive selection of accessories, which includes not only pre-assembled cables and gearboxes, but also brake chopper terminals, braking resistors, and an external fan cartridge for increased performance.

Available product series in protection class IP20:

• EJxxxx: plug-in modules
• ELxxxx/EMxxxx: standard and special terminals
• ELMxxxx: terminals in robust metal housing

Product series in protection class IP67:

• EP/EPPxxxx: box modules for decentralized, modular EtherCAT network and power architectures in industrial, zinc die-cast (ERxxxx) or stainless steel housing (EQxxxx)

The EPPxxxx series is characterized by the EtherCAT P technology, combined communication and power supply on a 4-core standard Ethernet cable.
