Vasco da Gama CoLAB

Vasco da Gama CoLAB (VG CoLAB) is a Portuguese collaborative laboratory dedicated to advancing energy storage solutions. Established in 2019 in Porto as a non-profit association, VG CoLAB unites public and private partners from academia and industry. Positioned at the centre of the electrochemical energy storage value chain, VG CoLAB develops innovative system-oriented technological solutions to facilitate the energy transition. The organisation focuses on mid-TRL prototypes and business support services, scaling up novel scientific research findings. VG CoLAB's expertise includes sodium-ion batteries, redox flow batteries, battery pack and module assembly, agnostic Battery Management Systems (BMS), modular configurable converters, and battery energy storage system sizing tools.
