The open:io modules are the optimal complement for distributed sensor actuator systems in your machines. The I/O connections are wherever they are needed. There is no need for complex and confusing wiring. As a result of the large scalability and configurability of individual sensor/actuator connections through to networks of complex I/O systems, a suitable control system can be created for every machine. This control system can grow with the life cycle of the product.
Almost any number of S30e can be connected to a master control device via EtherCAT to rapidly build a custom made machine control system. The S30e has 23 outputs and 10 inputs. 5 high-side outputs can be used as switching outputs. Further 5 high-side outputs can operate as switching outputs or as PWM-capable outputs. Moreover, 10 high-side outputs can operate as switching outputs, as PWM-capable outputs or as current-controlled outputs. The other 3 outputs contain an H-bridge. They can operate as an H-bridge or as 2 switching outputs. The inputs of the S30e can be divided to 2 switching inputs, 4 analogue inputs, which can be used to measure voltage and current and 4 multifunction inputs, which can be used as analogue voltage measuring inputs, analogue current measuring inputs, frequency inputs or digital switching inputs.
