VLT® Decentral Servo Drive DSD 520

The VLT® Decentral Servo Drive DSD 520 is a motor nearby solution with a nominal current up to 4.5A. Supporting a wide range of feedback encoders and sensorless control, its architecture is completely open and allows you to choose your preferred PM, ACM or linear motor with various wiring possibilities. Use the Integrated Motion Controller (IMC) to run the motion sequence independently and free up capacity in the central PLC. Additionally, a state of the art functional safety over fieldbus offering streamlines the machine design.

The Plug and Twist hybrid cabling concept, including supply and control voltage as well as functional safety and fieldbus wires, makes the installation fast, easy, fail-safe end cost-efficient. Since multiple decentral drive units can be powered by the combination of just one VLT® Power Supply Module PSM 520 and VLT® Decentral Access Module DAM 520 through simple daisy chain wiring.
