The vision of pervasive computing is that anyone can access anything from anywhere, anytime, and via any device. It is also the goal of Pervasive Computing Laboratory (PCLab). The major research areas of PCLab include: location-aware computing, context-aware computing, smart services, positioning, and visual tracking technique. The development of EtherCAT technology in PCLab was started from an industrial-academic project in 2012. An EtherCAT-related software development kit (SDK) is developed for simplifying the integration of EtherCAT technology into the manufacturing equipment. www.csie.cyut.edu.tw/~M415/
