DxM™ and DxI/O™ Technology
ADVANCED Motion Controls®’ unique solution provides up to 4 axis of servo motion and up to 280 I/O points from only one EtherCAT® connection. Solutions are possible using DZE and DZS plug-in mounted drives on OEM-specified, equipment matched PCB’s. These compact, high-speed EtherCAT® compatible servo drives are ideal for applications requiring deterministic control, small space, high power density and equipment integration. The substantial number of on-board I/O, in combination with the servo drives, eliminates the need for separate network modules and therefore offers an absolute lowest cost EtherCAT® system.
Product Highlights:
- Custom designed PCB to fit any equipment or machinery specifications
- Single (slave) node EtherCAT® connectivity needed
- CoE (CAN application protocol over EtherCAT) network communications based on drives and motion control device profile, DS-402
- 1 - 4 axes of servo motion, 1 DZE (required) and up to 3 DZS (sub-nodes), all handled through the DZE
- DZE’s/DZS’s small footprint: 89.0 x 63.5 x 25.0 mm (3.5 x 2.5 x 1.0 in)
- Up to 280 I/O points, 70 through each drive – Digital: 32 inputs, 32 outputs & Analog: 4 inputs and 2 outputs
- DZE/DZS supports universal encoder feedback: 1Vp-p Sin/Cos, Heidenhain, or EnDAT absolute; 5V TTL incremental
- Dual loop feedback capable on all axes
- Servo axes Operating Modes - profiled position, velocity, current; cyclic synchronous position, velocity, current; or customer specified
- Programmable PDOs allow up to 16 receive and 16 transmit objects per EtherCAT® cycle
- Built-in watchdog monitor disables the drive when communications are lost
- Comprehensive list of over 40 potential faults and events handled at drive level
- DriveWare™ (DW) software eases commissioning and configuration of all servo drives for fast set-up
- Including 4 axes of motion and all I/O, cycle time down to 100µs with jitter under 1µs!
